Little Raccoon and His Friends
Little Raccoon and His Friends
In a peaceful forest, there lived a playful raccoon named Mimi. Mimi loved spending time with his friends, especially his best friend, a little squirrel named Nini. But recently, Nini seemed upset and kept avoiding Mimi.
Mimi felt confused and went to ask Nini, “Nini, why don’t you want to play with me? Did I do something wrong?”
Nini sighed and said, “Mimi, the other day when we were playing, you took the pinecone I had just found and said it was yours. It made me really sad.”
Mimi felt terrible and hung his head low. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I hurt you so much. What can I do to make it up to you?” he asked.
Meeting the Wise Owl
At that moment, the wise old owl of the forest flew by and overheard their conversation. He said to Mimi, “Mimi, mending a friendship takes care and effort. You can try a magical phrase called Ho’oponopono. It can help you express your true feelings.”
Mimi asked curiously, “What is Ho’oponopono?”
The owl smiled and explained, “It’s a Hawaiian wisdom. You simply say these four phrases sincerely to yourself and the other person:
I’m sorry: Acknowledge your mistake.
Please forgive me: Ask for their forgiveness.
Thank you: Show gratitude for the opportunity.
I love you: Express your appreciation and love.”
Mimi decided to give it a try.
Restoring the Friendship
The next day, Mimi found Nini and said sincerely:“I’m sorry, Nini, for taking your pinecone that day without thinking about your feelings.”“Please forgive me. I really regret what I did.”“Thank you for listening to me.”“I love you because you’re my best friend, and I truly cherish our friendship.”
Hearing this, Nini smiled and said, “Mimi, thank you for apologizing. I love you too, and we’re still best friends!”
From that day on, Mimi learned how to treat his friends with care and sincerity. His friendship with Nini grew even stronger than before.
